GRICAD is ten years old! A decade of supporting digital technology for research

In 2026, GRICAD will celebrate its tenth anniversary. Established on 1 January 2016, our unit was created out of a desire to bring together the digital expertise and infrastructure of the Grenoble site in order to support scientific communities with their needs in high-performance computing, data management and research software. Building on the legacy of the CIMENT project (High-Performance Computing, Modelling, Numerical and Technological Experimentation), our unit has, over the course of a decade, become a key player in digital research in Grenoble.

This document is intended for all staff members (including administrative and academic staff) and aims to:
- Raise awareness of existing digital services,
- Encourage their use and adoption,
- Support the evolution of digital practices
